Canon has one more for the PMA
More and more sources say that Canon is not done playing all it’s cards in PMA 2008. There is one more surprise announcement. It seems like the new camera is slotted above the Canon 40D, but, is not a replacement for the Canon 5D! Could this be the rumored Canon 3D? Or is it really a replacement for the bruised Canon EOS-1D Mark III?
In an earlier post, Canon 3D Prototype, we mentioned about Canon working on 2 cameras to replace the current Canon 5D.
Our original sources said that this is coming only for Photokina 2008. If this happens to be the Canon 3D, it seems like Canon is taking off the gloves and going bare knuckles at the competition. If it really happens to be a replacement for the Canon EOS-1D Mark III, then Canon wants to bury the ghosts and start afresh. Whew, what a great year for the photo enthusiasts!
