Just in time for the holdays, Nikon D3100, is getting a privileged endorsement from the first lady of entertainment.
Here’s what Oprah’s website has to say about the Nikon D3100:
It’s the device Oprah calls “the ultimate camera from the ultimate camera-makers.” The Nikon D3100 has all the bells and whistles a camera pro would want—including hi-def video—but it can also be a simple point-and-shoot. “May I say,” Oprah says, “it is one sexy camera.”
Sony is expanding it’s 35mm large format sensor camcorder lineup with the development of new “NXCAM” HD camcorder. It is an E-mount interchangeable lens professional camcorder equipped with a Super-35mm equivalent large format CMOS sensor.
Sony claims that the “new sensor will have extraordinary performance in terms of picture quality and sensitivity, and is able to create rich “Bokeh” effect (beautifully defocused image) that is perfect for artistic story-telling in motion picture”.
Recording format – AVCHD
Recording Modes: 1080p (60p / 30p / 24p or 50p / 25p)
Compression: MPEG4-AVC/H.264
The current Nikon 80-400mm is so long in the tooth and does not have AF-S. The Nikon diehards have longed for what seems like eons. Finally Nikon is going to fulfill the faithful with an updated version of this relatively affordable wildlife lens.
Sources say that the first versions of the lens may be available as early as CES 2011 (January 2011). After field tests and any fine tunings, the lens should hit the dealers for the 2011 holiday season. It will be most probably announced with the updated D700.
